Getting something playable

After about 200 hours learning Unity, I finally had something I could play. Jingi was still a small prototype, but I could move a character around, fight bots, and see how weapons and stats affected combat. That was a satisfying place to start.

What works so far

This first version covers movement, PvE combat, basic bot AI, and the weapon and character stat systems. I wanted these pieces working together before adding more features. It is much easier to spot a problem with movement or combat when you can actually play through it.

Where I want to take it

My longer-term goal is a free-to-play mobile MMORPG, with combat that takes some inspiration from MOBA games. There is a lot between this prototype and that goal, especially multiplayer networking. For now, I am building the game one system at a time.
